Disco,
funk, glitter and groove - the sounds and styles of the 1970s were revisited
at Conrad Treasury Boardroom Blitz 2005!
Hosted by Wilbur Wilde, Blitz took a jump to the left, a step to the right
and hit the mark with its unique style of entertainment.
Those who caught the Groove Train from Roma Street Station were treated
to the entire experience, and almost every guest dressed as their favourite
1970s icon.
At the Red Carpet Extravaganza, Mustangs ensured every celebrity, judge
and band member arrived in style to be greeted by their adoring fans.
As guest stepped inside the walls of the Brisbane Entertainment Centre,
flares and platform shoes danced to the beat as billions of sequins glittered
under mirror balls. The decade of disco was back – Studio 54, once
more!
And this event was just as memorable as the original. Dozens of the country’s
finest business leaders threw off their working days shackles, found the
disco in their soul and wowed audiences with a mix of classic hits from
the era.
The night proceeded in typical Blitz fashion, with the line-up of corporate
bands each trying to out-do each other, encouraging the crowd to get up
and boogie to the disco and groovy rock beats.
The ten bands represented companies including Bickerton Masters Architecture,
DFK Hirn Newey, BreakFree Resorts, Australian Recruiting, Norwest Productions,
Allens Arthur Robinson, Ergon Energy, Roche Mining (MT), Conrad Treasury,
Super Cheap Auto and Brumby’s Bakeries.
The Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland would like to thank all those
individuals and organisations involved in Conrad Treasury Boardroom Blitz
2005, for helping to raise vital funds for more than 3000 children and
adults with cerebral palsy throughout the state. |
