On
14 October 2006, ten corporate bands rocked the Brisbane Entertainment
Centre to bring back the music of plastic fantastic legends such as Split
Enz, Devo, Bon Jovi, INXS, Billy Idol, Madonna and U2.
Tbe theme was "If You've Got It, Flaunt It" and more than 1000
guests took a De Lorean ride back to the 1980's, when leg warmers were
the height of fashion, CD players were featured on Beyond 2000 and Milli
Vanilli were still respected singers.
Brands behind the bands were Conrad Treasury, Australian Recruiting, Disability
Services Queensland, Fetch Holidays, Panther Print, Power Direct, Queensland
Rail, Roche Mining, Super Cheap Auto Group and 4KQ! Also lighting up the
stage were crowd favourites Taxiride and Angry Anderson and the Junkyard
Dogs.
The Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland would like to thank all those
individuals and organisations involved in Conrad Treasury Boardroom Blitz
2006. Their combined efforts raised much needed funds to help support
more than 3000 children and adults with cerebral palsy throughout the
